Johnnie Belle Sliman Davis Dean has achieved the distinction of having reached her fifth decade on this planet. Her family and friends have dedicated this page to celebrating her half a century on this Earth. They have collected photographs of each decade, and have presented them here to remind everyone of her many accomplishments. |

Decade One: Johnnie Belle was born on August 24, 1951 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Mr. and Mrs. L.N. Sliman. She spent her early years in Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania before her family moved to Shreveport Louisiana. |

Decade Two: In her second decade, Johnnie Belle lived in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her parents, Geeb and Marjorie owned a Grocery store and a Liquor store on opposite ends of the same block on Line Avenue, which was known in the 1960's as the colored section of town. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1970. |

Decade Three: In the 1970's, Johnnie Belle married Mr. Emmitt Davis, and in 1974 gave birth to their daughter Pamela. She lived in Louisiana and Orange, Texas. She gave birth to another daughter, Angela, who lived two months before she died in 1979. |

Decade Four: In the eighties, Johnnie Belle devoted herself to raising Pamela. She and Emmitt divorced, and she moved to Missouri to be with her mother and grandmother Edna. She later married Mr. Ray Dean and returned to Louisiana. |

Decade Five: The 1990's saw Johnnie Belle returning to Missouri after being widowed. She devoted herself to the care of others, including her grandmother Edna. Edna passed away at age 96 in 1999. The following year, Pamela also passed away at age 26. Johnnie Belle has been recovering from her many shocks, and is doing well.Her family has made this web site to wish her well on her 50th Birthday. We wish her many more Happy Birthdays to come. |
